Jesus Wants Me For A SUNBEAM

My three sons.....
Today was a big day for Gunner Dee, he is officially a Sunbeam in primary All week we talked about it and he said,"I do not want to be a sunbeam!". He was convinced that it was not a good thing or a good idea. He was apprehensive up until sacrament ended. We had discussed how Mommy and Daddy would stay with him in his class and he thought that was a good idea. Hunter refused to go to primary at that age and we had to sit with him the entire time. The primary workers finally decided to make us the teachers of his class because we were always there. That lasted about a year and then finally Hunter decided that he could do it on his own. Hunter would still like us to stay with him, we just remind him how big he is and that he can do it. I am lucky that speech still works.

Gunner is another story. We took him down to the primary room and showed him where he was sitting. He was a little nervous because he did not see his best buddy Jack. Once Jack showed up he was fine. I went over to him and he pushed me and said," Go away mommy, go out of here and to your own class." I wanted to cry. He does not need me. I have such mixed feelings...I am proud of him and his independence but sad that he is growing up. His teachers told me that he was a good example to the other kids and that he kept telling them to fold their arms and be reverent. My kids are just growing up so fast. After Church I asked him if he missed me and he said no. He is so funny and honest. He can't wait until next week.
Wyatt and Hunter both had new teacher as well. Hunter is now a CTR 7b and Wyatt now a Valiant 9. It seems like just yesterday that I was taking Wyatt to sunbeams. Our new years resolution as a family is to attend our meetings and love each other as much as we can. Today was a really good start.
Here is he cute little class of 3 year olds.....
Here he is with his new teacher. Mommy could not help him, just the teacher. I came into his class for the last three minutes and he still was not happy to see me. I am so proud of him.
